Terms of Use
Last updated July 2026. A working draft, written in plain language.
These terms cover this website. The work we do for you is governed by the engagement letter you sign, which sets out scope, fees, and responsibilities on both sides.
This site is not advice
Everything here is general information about our firm and our services. It is not accounting or tax advice for your situation, and reading it does not make you a client. Do not act on it without talking to us or to another qualified professional about your specific facts.
When we become your accountants
A client relationship starts when we both sign an engagement letter, and not before. Sending us a message, booking a call, or creating a login does not by itself create one.
Your account
If we give you a login, keep your credentials to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has them. You are responsible for what happens under your login.
What you send us
You keep ownership of your records. You give us permission to use what you send in order to do the work you have engaged us for. Please do not send us anything you do not have the right to share.
Accuracy
We keep this site current, but rates, deadlines, and rules change, and pages can go stale. Where something here conflicts with your engagement letter, the engagement letter governs.
Limits
This website is provided as is. Theorem is not liable for losses arising from your use of the site itself. Responsibility for our professional work is addressed in the engagement letter.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means the current version applies.
